I recently bought a 98' Jeep XJ and It had been throwing a code which has been troubling. P1494 - Something to do with the LDP, but what confuses me is that I do believe I have a federal emissions XJ (No LDP from the Factory - according to the sticker on the firewall driver side). I've replaced the Purge Solenoid, one of the plastic lines from the Purge Solenoid to the Canister has been replaced due to it breaking along with the rubber elbow that comes out of the intake manifold.

There's also a larger sized hose that comes from the canister at the rear, that rides the inside the driver side frame rail to the engine bay, which I don't know where it goes once it reaches the engine bay.

I don't know what to fix next - could the metal lines that connect to the canister be an issue? Is it the canister itself? I've deleted the code multiple times and it'll stay off for a bit - then it will come back on for the same code.

I've read that thread already - The gas-cap was replaced as well.
