1990 xj long crank time and hard starting

OK...started the timer, went out popped the hood, undid the connector, got .3 AC V from the CPS cranking, (again), put all back and came in. Two minutes, eight seconds. Guess I should at least have a new one waiting "on deck".
I saw somewhere its a square wave. I wonder if the cheap-o meter reads that correctly.

My wife's 88 starts like that. My 90 is a little longer. Both have upgraded battery and ground cables, too. If I felt like being Mr Science, I'd compare the CPS output voltage between the two.

HaHa! My MAIN goal was to recheck that low reading with a second meter. At least this old Jeep seems to work OK with .3. I should try moving it closer. And, yea, these things seem to be as wiley is an old condenser! I'd check it if my radio wouldn't work!

Its a renix thing,mine always takes a bit before starting.
Although priming the fuel system doesnt make it start any faster,it will randomly start first or second crank.
