Default 1990 Jeep electric diagrams needed

I have an issue with the alternator getting power to the rest of the Jeep, I had it tested and it checked out good just loosing power some where possibly a bad connection somewhere.

Runs right up to the relay on the passenger inner fender. How's the connection there?

FSM says thats for the cooling fan relay, kinda thinking maybe my voltmeter is off "stock one on cluster" or the power from the alternator is not making it in to the cabin strong enough.

Have you tested it's output on the Jeep?

I had taken it off and had it tested and its within spec, on the jeep it makes the same but inside the jeep its lower power

You mean the gauge reads lower than your meter does on the battery or the alternator?

alot of your wiring diagrams you can get from Buick. GM wiring was quite popular with AMC, chrysler color and routing diagrams don't always match up.

You may be able to find the information on the Morris 4x4 center website in their knowledge base at;

I found that I have 12 volts in side the Jeep but 14.4 under the hood with the heat on high and the head lights on. So I'm loosing power some where, maybe I need to upgrade the wire running to the fuse panel.

you should only get 12.something,something volts at the fuseblock. from any hot feed from the batt.

there is resistance (i.e. voltage drop in circuitry) built into the power distribution for the fuse block so as to not over-volt any of the accessories.

thats why you only see 12v

.

On renix models, that's the main relay. The alternator, lights and other accessories are controlled by it.

I guess I have a hard time believing that, there shouldn't be 2.5 vdc loss in less than 25 ft of wiring. I belive I have a bad connection some where but trying to track it down will be fun.
I'm not saying you're wrong just don't see it being possible, I could be way of with my crazy thoughts

So with a voltmeter on the battery you get "within spec voltage",and On the jeep volt gauge you get less? I've always been told to not believe the stock volt gauge one,as its measured at the end of the voltage use line(after everything else gets the volts).
You can alsways upgrade your power cables.mkes for better flow and less resistance to the charging system and usage. This guys makes a great set for a good price or you can make your own like I did, using his info.great upgrade for even a bone stock xj.

I used a fluke meter for the last tests to verify accuracy .
