1987 XJ wiper switch

I cannot get the housing off to replace the switch. Any ideas??

1987 Jeep XJ wiper switch

I can get the steering column apart but can't get the housing apart to get the wiper switch out. Any ideas?? Thanks

Which column do you have ? saginaw non tilt GM type or the tilt version.

Saginaw has 3 or 4 screws on the bottom that separates the 2 halves. I have done one of these awhile back, let me see if I have the pics still.

Tons of stuff on youtube for the tilt version, never dug into one myself.
