yea..it IS an ad. Since when did the site allow companies to sponsor sections of the forum? Does it support the site and make it better? Isn't that what paid memberships are supposed to be for?

Listen the site is supported by ads. That's how this company makes their money. Is it idea in an ideal world no. Do you get banner ads? No you don't. This is nothing moe than a static hard coded link with an image file. Will it slow or load anything to your PC like all other google ads no it won't Infact it doesn't load anything outside of a text based link and very small image.
Do I like it, no. Would I rather it be gone yes. However it's not my site and I do not have control of how they generate money. Do I have some pull sure but at the end of the day the owners make the final call.
Wish I could do more but it is what it is.

I first heard of it back in the 70's after the 1st (or was it the 2nd?) oil crisis. The company first produced an oil additive that was suppose to reduce internal friction and therefor increase gas mileage. I never used it.
