Pretty much. Back in the 90's if I recall, the federal government stepped in and made them prove their product. Slick-50 was on of them that couldn't. Thus their ads were banned from TV commercial's. Although, Z-Max was able to prove their product and allowed to continue commmercials.

CF is becoming like the banks. Hard to find a site that isn't run by a bunch of corporate weenies making way more money than it takes to simply run the site. Millions of dollars when you see how many sites they run.

I can not speak to what huntingman and the otherthers that are x2 and x3ing about, but what it all falls down to is you choose to be here. we do not make the decisions on how the forum is ran, they may ask us about things from time to time and have a suggestions area. although the owners chose to do this and if you do not like it you can choose to stay or leave. *shrugs* it's not that bad is it? Participating on this forum is a privilege not a right.

i saw it the other day, and thought it was odd but i shrugged it off. i dont think its a big deal. so what if an area is sponsored by some company and they put their logo on here? i cant imagine that the extra money they are bringing in from the ad wouldnt partially go back into the site. would you rather look at a logo that is 1"x1" on your screen or pay $50, or $100 for the premium membership? i personally donate my $20 membership fee because i get a lot from this site, and would like to continue to get lots of info, so i try to do my part to keep the site alive. who cares about 5 letters, and 2 numbers
