Woo hoo stuck!
Hey everyone I took my xj to bloody ponds in baltimore MD, during a bad rain storm, some roads were flooded. I went with 3 friends who know the place and i was going straight for a puddle and my friend Matt said no don't

do it! So i thought he was chickening out so i did. it was a couple feet deep engine bogged out. Had my brother winch me out and now im waiting for a tow truck as im writing it because it wont start. Sounds hydrolocked, hope its the starter.

Got it all cleaned up and ready for the first day of school tmr! the check engine light comes on sometimes but if i turn it off and start it, it goes away. Just doesn't seem normal for me..

Haha that is always fun. I did the same thing in my old XJ... It just sucks that it smells like bog-water for along time.

At least you had someone with a winch... took me forever to get out.

If you are ever hydro locked don't try to start the motor until you pull the plugs and get all the water out. I made this mistake and bent a connecting rod.

I have a buddy from a local forum that sunk his 2010 JK and broke a rod... Needles to say, he wasn't happy and neither was his wallet.
