I am getting ready for a long road trip to Alaska. I purchased the 4.5" X-series kit, that came with quick-discos. I have never put the disconnects on, because I never drive on street too much. But I decided for this trip, it might be good to have my sway bar connected.
When I was tightening up the aluminum studs to connect the swaybar to, they stripped out. I was not using a torque wrench, and I didn't get super tight. I called RC and was told there is nothing they could do because I stripped them out. But he could send me new studs for half off... This is ridiculous. If you can strip out something that easily by hand, that is, in some people's opinion, a very significant part of the jeep, and then be told pay more for a shotty product?
You guys are making it real easy to jump on that popular bandwagon.

It's not the point. Bolts are cheap. The point is, you buy something, it's defective, and they just throw up their hand. I didn't even get into the rudeness that was thrown at me from Darryl, it was like he was just in a rush, and know time to help a customer.

What did they quote you for a new set of links at a reduced price? I have been driving around with mine disconnected because they are worn and making noise after only about a year.

He didn't, he said "all I can do is send you new ones for half off" I asked if there was any sort of warranty like the the rest of the system, he then copped an attitude and said "I told you what I can do". I politely asked for his name and hung up.
I've never had such experiences with them... Also I see both sides so ill butt out ha ha

See, now we are getting somewhere. I wish you worked at RC. The disconnects did NOT come with instructions. Kit came with instructions for installation of: brake lines, suspension, track bar. And instructions for: joint assembly.

Hey thanks for the info.... Apparently you like paying for something, and then having it break the first it's used. I don't. But to answer your troll effing statement, if I order a kit and it comes with Instructions for everything but the simplest thing, why would I jump online? I do not lack common sense, so no need to search on how to put on disconnects. Anyway, is there any torque measurements on any of those fancy links you posted??? If not, go back and re-read my original post.

But to answer your question you should of, you do know that a lot of places don't even include instructions anymore? I've gotten plenty of things and had to get the instructions off their website. Now I know since it came with all the other ones it should of came with the disconnects, but people do forget thing you know, but that's RC fault. But you should've looked online anyway because it DOSE come with torque measurements, and they are low enough for the aluminum piece you broke to be easily stripped out by hand tools. Which is your fault.
Thanks for that grammar ****. Sorry I have ADHD and other things that impair me from having good spelling and grammar skills.
