I'm not even going to go down the rabbit hole of what someone's personal life is or isn't. Frankly, if he's taking payment for a product/service, he needs to be providing that product/service in a reasonable amount of time with little to no excuses.
I could easily make cable kits. I might even make them better. Why don't I? Because factors in my life would prevent me from being able to reliably provide them to customers, and I'm responsible enough to recognize that I'd be doing no one any favors by pretending otherwise. If Jon can't handle it anymore, the responsible thing to do is to stop accepting orders and issue refunds to anyone who already has paid him.
Full disclosure: A few years ago, I ordered cables from him that I'm still using to this day. I had no problems with my interactions with him at that time.

I spoke with Jon yesterday. Made him aware of folks displeasure with him. He knows. He says he's trying to get caught up.
He should definitely stop taking payment until he's caught up.

That's good to know. I'm staying cool. My jeep still runs other than having to tap on the starter from time to time. It would be really nice if my cables and starter came in the same day.

Guy got me too for more then 200$. It's been well over a month and no responses after I asked for a refund. Do not do business with him. I don't care if he has a good reputation, he shouldn't have taken my money then. Either way you can buy a large gauge hammer crimper on ebay, some heat shrink tube, 1 gauge welding cable, all the connections, and an in line fuse and holder for the alternator cable for about 100$. That's for all grounds and and power to pdc, starter, and alternator for xjs. So I hate when I get an email saying don't form a dispute and states he doesn't make much doing it. Bc for about 30 minutes of work he makes well over 100$ and I didn't buy anything in bulk. I sure as hell don't make 200$ an hour.

Why didn't you make them yourself then to begin with if its so easy and cheap to do
BTW the hammer crimper isn't the best way to go either unless you buy a high quality one, a hydraulic press type gives a full constant pressure to the crimp and is used for almost all larger wire sizes.
I will bet you that you will NEVER make a full set of wires in 30 min. either, start to finish from getting materials to cutting wire for each length then crimping and using quality connectors.

Yeah and I will NEVER rip anyone off and make stupid comments trying to defend someone I feel sorry for after stealing money from multiple members. I was just giving other members another option if they don't get their wires from 5-90

I'm not giving to a charity. I paid for a product I didn't receive. If he couldn't produce a product he shouldn't have taken my hard earned money. I understand a hammer crimper isn't the best tool but what should I do? Wait 6 months for wires I may never receive? Like I said I just gave members another option while they wait for "quality" wires......or the PayPal dispute to clear so they could get their money and buy wires from someone else if a hammer crimper isn't sufficient.

Putting an end to this.
If you want cables, PM XJwonders.
If you have an outstanding transaction with 5-90, file a dispute.
Done.
