I ordered some cables, a long time ago, and I know he takes some time but I was wondering if anyone had gotten any cables from him recently.

I'm sorry, I guess I should just spit it out. I know plenty about Jon, that's not the issue. The issue is that I ordered cables 4 months ago and all I get in response to my email queries is an automated response. As irritating as that is, I am ok as long as someone can verify that they have received anything from him recently.
I did not get a response, though, from the last email I sent, which is unusual, as those of you who know him are aware.

 

I have saw a few posts from him about his Jeep in the last couple of months I think. Very unusual to hear that about him that is a long time to wait.

 

I am roughly 50 days into waiting on a set of cables, as well. I got the automated response about 20 days ago; after inquery. I have not contacted him since nor received any communication. I don't mind waiting, but some communication, any communication, would be nice.

 

All of us have been around for a while and know Jon and his work (I have his cables) this is very unusual for him not to be in contact. I think the last post of his I saw, was his XJ was buried in the snow away from his house.


Hope he is OK and both of you hear from him soon and get your cables.

 

That's another point. His taking a while is not unusual. His not responding is.

 

He is homeless, and he communicates with his customers via the library computers. He may be having difficulties getting on to communicate there, or (knock on wood) something may have happened to him.

He would usually always get to me within 48 hours. I hope he is okay.

I can't find him on Facebook though.

Last automated e-mail I got said that he has housing now, but I haven't heard anything since early march. I was about to pull the trigger on my cable order, too. I got the automated response to my e-mail saying I was ready to order and haven't heard anything since.

 

XJwonders sells a nice kit also he is a mod here, he has an ad in the for sale section also or you can PM him if you want.

 

Well my surviving not having upgraded cables for months now proves that I really didn't need them after all.
