In of the things I lost when I added the rear tire mount was my 3rd brake light. I'm a firm believer that they help folks see you slowing so I wanted to add one. I looked in the jy but couldn't find one that I could adapt. So I ordered the universal light from Rampage Products. I had to modify it by shortening the riser bc I run 235s but it looks like it would easily top a 33 with no problem.

 

Clear a 33" NOPE! Mine is mounted above the rear hatch.

I shorted it by 5 inches but you're right it may not clear a 33.

 

You could make one off a tj work,Or i have seen ones for wranglers that mount in the center hole of the spare rim.
