I just ripped out the dreaded wet floor pad inside my Jeep. The passenger rear floor is pretty rusty but cleaned up well, has about 3 holes the size of a standard screwdriver.Is this a cut out and weld project or can bondo or something save it ?

 

The passenger rear floor is the most subjected to rust because it is very near to the muffler. If the holes are small you can bondo but if the contours are rusty it won't stay on at long. You need to remove all the rust first then take a nice picture for us.

 

Doing it tomorrow morning will post pics when done having a little trouble uploading pics though

Definitely more of a bondo work. If you want it to work well you will need to clean all the rust also from the bottom.

 

poke around with a screwdriver. if it pokes thru then patch it up with metal

 

Use POR 15 on the floor boards...

not hijacking this I swear but i also have a ?...recently had a no start issue so I ended up trasing it down to CPS had broken off the mounting braket that holds it on the bell housing...well I reglued it back on (super glue) because that's where it had broken lose from is where it was glued....now jeep with start and idle fine but when you hit the gas it's VERY slugish and backfires like crazy and have no power at ALL. Any ideas?

 

X2 on the POR-15 it's a little on the pricey side but its awesome stuff.

 

X2. I agree. Newbs and others need a place to get answers without starting a bunch of random threads.
Maybe it wasn't glued back in the exact same/correct spot. The air gap is crucial on the CPS. You may end up replacing it.
You can also check the connector to verify it's clean and making a good connection.

 

I glued it back in the same spot (got all the little grooves and things lined bck in the same spots) as best I could but you may be right I may not have it back in the exact same spot...was hoping I didn't have to replace it because i'm broke lol...i did clean the connector real well on both sides and cleaned the end of the connector on bellhousing side too
