IFor what its worth, mine are sitting at 2 3/4" on the driver side, and 2 1/2" on the passenger side. But thats with the suspension loaded as i have not taken them off yet. Any guesses as to what the free arch might be once i pull them? That might not be for a couple months. For those that have bought that particular leaf (Crown 56010.12.07), what was the free arch measurement?
I don't know that measuring them will do any good, since they're sagging.
All I know is the Crown part#4886186AA is 7" free arch w/a 755# load rating. This is the part many of us use to duplicate the factory Upcountry option.

Found a set of 52000706AB locally for about $270. A steal IMO. Mopar. New, never installed. Just a little paint loss, nothing more. Did i buy them? Yes. They are stamped with the same RPN706AB as mine. Coincidence, or partial part #?
Even if that IS a partial part #, i hit a wall in my search. So far i have come across RPN706AB (my old and new have it, along with 2 other forums), RPN2390AB (on Jeepforum), and RPN496AB (posted by 5-Speed), and RPN390AB (Google search comes up with "Ballestas suspensión/ Blattfeder/ Springs suspension/Jeep Cherokee RPN390AB"). The first two could be 52000706AB and 52002390AB. The last one could be 52000390AB. I have yet to find a match with 496AB in it anywhere, in any form. And theres the wall. Anybody got a XJ parts catalog with a 496AB leaf spring in it? There is no 52000496AB according to Chrysler. ???
Still trying to find out what the load rating for an LN coded spring is as well. Again, the dealer doesnt know. Theyre supposed to know this stuff lol. At this point im just trying to find the missing info on the leaf spring charts floating around the internet.
Ill check the other 2 leaf sets I have today. The one I posted was off an 99 2wd manual. The other is a 01 2wd auto and the last will be a 94 4wd auto possible country. It was factory with skid plates and tow package. Both the 2wd springs had no tow package and no skid plates.
And going a little further. Both leafs were pulled off at 160k miles. The 94 was sagging more then the 99 so free arch is probably way off by now. The 94 leaf sits about 1/2" higher. Thickness at the centering pin is 1" on the 496 leaf and 1-1/8" thick on the 707.
Found some info because I was curious. Apparently the z codes are sales code for location and so on. ZG is left rear spring and ZV is right. Also found info that AB only means it's a revised part. The original is AA first revision is AB second would be AC and so on. So I assume the more important code would be the ones beginning with L along with the long number code.
[QUOTE=fb97xj1;3488325]I dont have the build sheet.
Also there is a way to submit your VIN to Chrysler and they will give you your build sheet. I don't remember off hand but there's plenty of info about it on the forum here. Maybe someone could chime in with it?

Here ya go. Won't do some of the older models from what I understand though. Not sure how far back it will go.
Ive seen threads here on build sheets (with one being a 97 IIRC) and while i have thought about it, the only mention of suspension was telling you if it was standard duty or not from what ive seen posted. So i never bothered. But i did save those links just the same. Thanks.
Back to the RPN #s. It thats a partial, then:
RPN706AB - 52000706 (still dont know the spring rate)
RPN707AB - 52000707
RPN2390AB - 52002390
RPN390AB - 52000390
RPN496AB - ?
Still cant find what 496AB is for. None of the springs listed online share that number. The dealer doesnt seem to know any more than i. Unless they just dont feel like looking since im not buying parts. I searched for other RPN #s but nothing pops up. Another forum said RPN may have stood for "Replacement Part Number", but thats as far as that thread went.
