Making me jealous with all the trail shots and your fellow runners with XJs. I got a couple guys to get out with up my way and can't wait. Possibly next month as long as I can get my floors done before then.

Well I haven't made it on a club trip this semester since they all fall the weekend before 3 tests. My roommate and I are going to get some wheeling in though. Spring break is in a week and a half and we're going to go up to windrock for 5 days I believe we decided on and wheel. That means I need to fix my leaks, sleeves, c gussets, and ball joints, rotate my tires, buy a new tent and test everything out. I guess it's good this thing is finally getting some attention. I think the current plan is March 21-25 Windrock, March 30-April 1st AOP, then either Harlan or Windrock May 5-8th (might stay longer depending on schedules, breakage and money left)

It is really cold out actually. Crazy how much temperature change we've had here recently. Below freezing this morning, then rode my motorcycle to class and it was warm

Got the sleeves and c gussets in today. I was hoping to get lucky and not ruin the seals, but my roommate texted me and said it's pouring out the driver side tube. Oh well. Got to the shop at 8 am, got it torn apart, welded, back together, and drove 30 minutes and was only 15 minutes late to my 11 am class. Now this weekend I'll do ball joints and axle seals.Highschool budget 1999 xj build-photo777.jpg I can apparently post pictures again so that's cool.

So that combo is trashed. Had to order a new wheel and tire. The rim was in one piece when I left Tennessee this weekend, must have broken at some point in time along the way home. Lucky it didn't blow out somewhere driving down the highway. Hopefully the new one is in before I leave on Friday for AOP.

Wholly smokes I'm just wondering what would cause a wheel to break like that. Even vehicles showing some serious abuse I have never see a wheel snap like that. Anything can happen but wow and glad your okay.

No clue what caused it, but they say it's 100% my fault and won't do anything towards fixing it.

That's because they probably see your Jeep modified and assume you were off road with it. Otherwise if they didn't tell you thier claim I would have argued it more. Then again I suppose new wheels would cost you less than the hassle to fight sometimes.

I brought it in the back of my truck. They didn't even see the Cherokee, but said since the wheel was scratched it had been abused and was 100% my fault. Even though the tire is perfect and not damaged at all near that area of the rim. It was only damaged after the rim broke. I tried arguing it, and got to the manager but they wouldn't help me out.
