Was mocking up the trans cross member today.

Quickly found out the side tie-in brackets will not fit with my rock sliders. I have the Nates 4x4 Rocker Guards and the forward brace lands right where the cavfab tie-in brackets will go.

Any suggestions haha?

Cut and weld. Gotta modify one or the other.

Only trail shots I have at the moment, did really well. Still something going on in the front end based off the noises on the trails, but I'll get it all figured out. Sounded like the coils were contacting something else fairly often.

Yup. I would also recommend doing at least mid stiffeners at this time, give you a better base to weld on.

I would do stiffeners, then put the crossmember in, and modify the sliders to fit, then weld in. Just my .02

I am pretty sure those two bolts are for the front most frame rail holes. Another question is what are the welded nuts for that I circled in red here for?

My guess is future skid plating mounting. I got it mounted up tonight. Still not sure on those 2 bolts. If they are for the front 2 holes of the frame rails....there is no where near enough meat to drill and tap for that big of a bolt, there would be hardly and material left after you drill it. I am going to tap it for 2 factory sized bolts. And here is the comanche issue....... goingbto have to unhook all the lines from the plastic loom, move them up away from the pocket and secure them to the body somehow.

I pulled this from their Instagram page of 423xjs setup. Those bigger bolts do go in the front.....but there is nowhere near enough meat to drill and tap. The bolt is the same size as the insert that is up there. Maybe it's a comanche thing.:

my setup:

Comanche fuel line issue.
Crossmember mounted.

Must be an MJ thing, but there is nowhere near enough meat to drill and tap those inserts on mine to fit those big bolts. I'll have to tap it for a factory size bolt.

I shot them a message on June 1st regarding my order I placed in April (both the 3 link and steering). That was my last update/communication with them. They said it should be shipping out the next week.....still nothing though

And by the next week I mean from June 1st. I'm just curious how many people are actually waiting on their stuff...it looks like they've gotten a lot of orders out, but obviously there is still a serious backorder on everything. I at least expected the steering by now...at this point I probably would have looked at another option. Seems like an awesome product, but the beginning of April I was given a lead time of about 2 weeks and it's just progressed from there. Seems like an awesome product and after working the kinks out everyone has liked it, but dang lol

It's been 5 months since I placed my pre-order and I only have a crossmember to show for it. If I would have known how long it would have taken I would have shopped elsewhere.

I feel ya man. I already told Dave I would have to ask for a refund if it couldn't hurry up. Not trying to sound rude, but again I probably would've just went a different route had I gotten the actual lead time, and I'm not waiting all summer on this lol. Just keep in touch with them and keep us posted of course

I got all my stuff, set up pretty good. Had a couple steering issues, but other than that good product. Not really sure why or how it all should be adjusted and such. There were no directions with anything I received so it was guess/look at pictures/ask people who had already put it on. One heim on my steering went bad and it seems the heims and the high misalignment spacers seem to be wearing a good bit and I'd say I have under 1000 miles on the set up probably.
