We took suggestions from you all and made what we feel like is going to be a 3 link that is hard to beat. We have had lots of interest in a setup that features a drop out center section, as high clearance as possible, and beefy..this is our answer.

The CavFab Alpha Series Jeep XJ/MJ 3 Link
  • 1/4" Main Structure
  • Removable Center Section (8 1/2" Grade 8 Bolts)
  • High Clearence Lower Links
  • Currie Johnny Joints
  • Laser Cut/Press Bent X-Member
  • High Clearence X-Member (over an inch of clearence compared to our original 3 link)
  • 2" .25" Wall DOM Lower Links
  • 1.75" .120" Wall DOM Upper
  • UniBody Tie Ins INCLUDED
  • Grade 8 Hardware Included

The kit is available for pre-order on our website for $889.99..however this price will not be good for long and we will move to the typical retail pricing of $989.99

Why is the upper link mount sideways? Will it still flex well and not ruin the joint? Also any pictures of the actual thing?

The suspension will bottom out LONG before the joint will bottom out on the xmember

I second the sideways upper mount. Im no engineer, but perhaps there is something i am missing here. Is it for lateral support? When can we see a Steel Copy and not a Solid Works Version!! Anxious!:w00t:

Looks like since the upper is tucked in between the trans and the frame rail there wouldn't be much room for a horizontal bolt when you have to take out the upper link to adjust the pinion angle, this way if the upper part of the uca mount has a nut welded to it you can just put/take out the bolt from the bottom.

This is accurate.

The upper link was placed in the position it was for packaging reasons. With the joint mounted horizontally it would be in the way of lines running down the unibody and would be a real snug fit. There will be no issues of binding in that upper joint.

You guys should expect to see the first Alpha kit in the next few weeks (most likely around christmas)

Don't forget...the Pre-Order pricing for the Alpha Series kit will not be valid much longer!

Thanks for all the orders!

THe more i think about it, the more my geometry brain gets confused. I tried animating the arm/joint motions using my fist, but i cant get the results i am trying to visualize. Ill just have to wait and see the steel version on a vehicle lol.

It's a johnny joint, so I'm guessing the upper joint is using the "misalignment" of the joint for the axle up/down travel rather than the normal joint rotation, and uses the normal JJ rotation axis to deal with articulation. Curious to see how this feature holds up on the durability side, seems like something you'd definitely want to pay extra attention to keeping clean/lubed.

Great kit though! I'll likely be making an order if the $CAD ever decides to bounce back a bit.

Rock Krawler X factor 3 link kit had the upper the same way and it was one of the best flexing, durable kits made for the XJ

MY.92.2DR.PROJECT 12-16-2016 09:35 AM

so i have spent the last few days comparing this kit to every other kit i could find and this kit appears superior to all of them.....and the price for what is provided is great too!!!! when will we get to see some real pics of the cross member?

CavFab 12-16-2016 04:20 PM

PreOrder will not be valid much longer. $889.99 which is $100 dollars off what retail will be.

Don't be left behind.

Also, check the vendor section for details on our Christmas Sale on some of our other products!

You guys should expect to see installed shots of the Alpha kit in the next 2 weeks.
