One heim on my steering went bad and it seems the heims and the high misalignment spacers seem to be wearing a good bit and I'd say I have under 1000 miles on the set up probably.
This is why I'm skeptical about anything that uses heim joints. After seeing plenty wear out super quick on 4+linked bagged mini-trucks, I have avoided them. I'm sure there are some good durable ones out there but I just don't want to take the chance.

I don't know if I just have it setup wrong or what. Since the drag link is bent the way it is, you have to have the heims twisted right so they're resting on the misalignment spacers the entire time to keep it from hitting the tie rod.

Coming up on 3,000 miles of DD use on my set. Still as tight as day 1. no complaints here.

Mine is tight still. It was tight with the heim missing most of its race, but my thing is how long before they wear through something. Here's what mine looked like. I wasn't saying they don't use good heims it's just the whole metal on metal design I don't care for. When you have metal, covered in lube and exposed to an abrasive such as mud and just general road grime fast wear is inevitable.
Guys used to put heim 4-links on the rear of minis, they would be great for about 10k miles then they would start to pop, bind, and develop excessive looseness. On an off road only rig I think they are ****, but for a DD not so much.

I'm curious when they're going to get the bolt on skid plate out, and if it will have option for clocked cases or just stock cases.

I wouldn't hold your breath, they can't even get all of the pre-ordered 3 link kits out completely. It will probably be quite a ways down the road before they have one out, and that's if they keep their word on that offer. We all know how reliable their promises to us are. You might be better off designing and building one yourself.

So cavfab claims that the rest of my order shipped out, but the UPS tracking number shows that it hasn't been picked up yet. Anyone else having this issue?

When they originally "shipped" my links they had shipped a load and mine had a shipping label with a tracking number, but mine was left at the shop for a weekend or so I believe. Crap happens. I think their shipping emails are automated so that when a label is made its said it's shipped.

Yes. Here in the last year or so, UPS switched to saying the "item shipped" as soon as the label is created through the commercial account. I have had this issue with items i have shipped. So when i create an auto label, i wait until the day i ship it, so my receiver has an accurate ship date. UPS is assuming that vendors are being expedious in customer order processing, and actually dropping the item off at the UPS hub the same day they create the label. When in fact, companies may create and print the shipping labels weeks in advance of actually shipping them. Its rather annoying if you ask me. I want to know when my item actually departed the UPS hub and is in transit. i dont give 2 rats rear ends when a piece of paper was printed.

I messaged them and they said that my order did ship out on Monday. It's now Wednesday and the ups tracking still doesn't show that it has shipped out. I trust ups more than I trust cavfab.

If you're so unhappy with CavFab, why don't you just return the 3-link and stop complaining about it on a forum. We get it. It's taken a long time, but crying about it here every day isn't going to change anything. Either return it, or install it when it's there and move on.

I don't really want a refund, I want the product I paid for. I'm not as upset about the wait time as I am about being lied to by them several times about when my parts would ship out. If a thread like this would have been around back when I ordered and I was able to see how people were having issues with wait times and lack of communication by the seller I wouldn't have considered purchasing from them. I would rather post here every now and then to update the thread dedicated to their product so people considering buying the same product are forewarned about what they might encounter. If you don't like what I have to say then don't read my comments, simple as that.

I don't mind reading your experience at all, and I'm not looking to argue over it either. It's just at this point, there have been a lot of posts about it, and understandably so. However, it's getting a little old (not just you). I just think at this point it's best to just keep it between you (and whoever else) and CavFab. Then when you get everything, get it install, give us a good overall review.

Can't stop you from posting, and not trying to, because I do understand that frustration (been there, trust me). I don't know for sure, but I think you'll still be happy with it when it comes in and a lot of the waiting and frustration will be alleviated.
