Drove it to work today, which for my jeep is a HUGE accomplishment, and planning on taking it off road Saturday. I'm a week behind my schedule, but if I had not broken my accelerator cable, I wouldn't be, so that's on me.
what have people done for the squeaks and rattles in the dash? I was thinking of picking up some sort of foam strip to go in between stuff.

The beach warrior has left the salt-air and sea behind. Good thing because it was beginning to deteriorate after six years, even being garage kept.
The WJ has already earned a 'beach scout' badge. Have it equipped with all the stuff the XJ had, including cantilevered table and roof rack shower.
It will look better once I drive through ATV trails, gouging paint and denting fenders.
My little boy really likes the WJ, so does the wife.
Pioneer DEH 7800 head unit, JL Audio 320.4 speaker amp. Subwoofer is coming soon (when I can afford the enclosure, already pre-wired and I have the $ for the actual woofer)

Gnarly ground loop though - traced it to the RCA's in my Pioneer head unit. I am going to try to ground the RCA's manually but if not I might need to buy new head unit - which I don't want to do because I love my old-school Pioneer DEH 7800 (color OLED screen, works perfectly otherwise)
Painted up my late-model center console, did a little preliminary fitting of the ZJ seats... Gonna need some late model XJ sliders. And the mail lady delivered presents:

are those the little ceramic beads? if so make sure no water or even moisture gets in with them.. They will clump up,,thats why I went airsoft beads. You can get them soaked and they still work great.
here is a pic of ceramic dynabeads just a little and I mean just damp
notice how they stick and clump up just like in a tire if wet.. Thats happen in my tires because air hose I used had moisture.
here is airsoft soaked with water.. they flow around just fine.
something to think about..wet clumping beads cause for a fun ride..lol

Why not use glass beads instead?
Glass is a much softer material - it will break down and you'll have glass powder in your tires. Powder becomes susceptible to moisture clumping as well as a potential hazard to your health when you change your tires.
