So I mounted three LED strips under the hood using Loctite "GO2" Gel adhesive and wired them to turn on with the lame factory light. There's also a cutoff switch to turn the lights off if leaving the hood up during the day.

They work real nice at night...

Plenty of illumination for those midnight wrenching sessions!

I'm hoping next week to finally start on the rear disc brake upgrade. Also planning to install new front and rear window washer motors and do some other maintenance while it's up on stands. Maybe I'll finally clean up the rat's nest of wiring around the battery left by the previous owner for the cheapo aftermarket LED lights. (He basically just left the relay and wiring laying on top of the battery.)
Have you driven any long amount of time with it? I would worry it melts or warps etc with heat.

Sway bar link studs are pressed in correct? Trying to install JKS disconnects and don't know how to remove them.

yes correct. It's pressed in. You could grind the heads of the studs off, then tighten on the nuts until it pop off

The guy who did this originally has not reported any problems and it's been nearly a year. The LED strips are metal and the adhesive is designed for high temperatures. So it's really just a matter of whether the LEDs themselves will hold up. We'll see...

lol... we don't have a 1076 at my department. I'll assume you were saying you're either enroute (1051) or to meet you there (1056). In either case I'll 1023 (standby) for you there
