Pulled a bellhousing off of a wrangler with an nv3550 for my Comanche ax-15 swap. While I was under there pulled a tcase with sye and custom driveshaft. I'll sell it off to someone in the club for what I paid for it most likely. Now I just need the slave and master to do the ba-10 to external ax-15 swap. I'll probably wait till I do an engine swap though.
Thankfully I had spares for both.
The dipstick scared me a little. I tried to grip the little bit still cresting the tube, but it sank and sank... heated up those pliers and stuck them in, let it cool and problem solved.
No, I don't lick fish.
Kinda sorta.... as in, "I need to be an adult about this, think of my family, and do what's going to help us out in the long run vs. hanging onto it and struggling for quite a while to get where we need to"
Whatever you say, Mr. Fake News.
So what's the update, bud? How goes the journey today?

Decreasing my footprint on the West coast, hooked up a trailer and am about to drive my recently aquired ‘91 Sport to New England. Replaced the oil filter adapter orings yesterday, have performed all the maintenance I believe I need (fingers crossed). Should arrive at my destination by Sunday pm. Full speed ahead!
Thanks to all for the well wishes. Just past OK City, almost 1400 miles in two days. I’ve been xcountry several times, been in all but three states on my motorcycle, so this trip is just an A to B slog. Thank goodness for podcasts and Pandora!
Hadn’t planned it. Is there an event? I’ll be going through PA on Sunday. Kinda just wanna get to the other end. Maybe I’ll take a trip out there later in the summer in my other rig, especially if there’s an event or gathering.
I’m in the Boston area when on the East coast.
Cheers all!

Oh I hear that. A DSLR and all my synths went to such a cause.

Ha! I just took the inverse of that picture today!

Yeah. Not the first time in the course of our marriage that I've sacrificed an expensive "toy", but this is definitely the first time that it's not been a direct act of desperation on our part. A few guys on here know the estimated value dollar of musical instruments and equipment that I pawned and sold at the beginning of our marriage. I've been lucky with my job over the past 10 years that I've been able to be somewhat reckless with our finances.... well, it's time to tighten up and the Jeep is, unfortunately, the fat that has to be trimmed.

Tires and rims detailed. Tires rotated, I have 5 matching so the spare goes into the rotation, and pressure checked. Finally got around to Fluid Filming the washer pumps I did awhile back. Forgot to do it when I did them. Also Fluid Filmed all the bushings, leafs, front coils to hopefully keep the squeaking at bay.

Changing my front sway bar bushing, painted the brackets and the sway bar. Went to get new bushings and can't decide on the 1inch or 11/8. The ones I removed are totally shot and can't get a measurement. Actually comparing both sides flat surface one is bigger than the other, so I believe at some point one has been changed since both sides should be the same size.
Question;
Should the bushing meet when on the bar or should there be a gap? I bought a 1inch but when on the bar it has a gap even with some compression.
2000 XJ sport.
Thanks

Sway bar has a circular cross section, wrap a piece of tape around it, or string or whatever, then mark it and measure the piece with a ruler, divide by 3.14 and you'll have the diameter.
