Threw in a 2"ish budget lift, I'm digging it. I got it for nothing, but it's $85 on Scamazon. Actually pretty decent little kit.

BEFORE

AFTER

Drove it around today after finishing up. No vibrations, wobble or weirdness. But I'll prolly throw the transfer case drop kit in next weekend, came with it so I might was well. Everything's nice and tight, and it fit pretty well. Of course, getting the old stuff out was the biggest PITA.

Started it and took it to lunch for the first time this summer. Wife took the YJ instead of her Ram.

Thanks Clown, I'm pretty fond of her. Few rough edges here and there, but she's holding up pretty well. My original plan was to bedliner the whole thing, but now that I've had her awhile I'm leaning more towards a repaint, just bedline from the lower body line down. The interior is near immaculate, which makes the idea of going all MadMax on it a little hard to swallow.

No go on the drop kit? Prolly won't then, no vibes or anything anyway. If it ain't broke...

Just had some savings and it's what I think is causing my death wobble and shimmy at 70mph+. Need to get that fixed before school starts in a few weeks.

I'll trust you guys on it. I get the idea behind it, but have never tried one before. Good to know I shan't be wasting my time on it then.

TC drops aren't that bad.. Just make sure to shim your rear axle so your pinion sits at the same angle as the output shaft on your TC. I had mine with very minimal vibes sitting at 5.5" on a late model designed 231 TC (more prone to vibes).

Is it something you want long term? No, it's hard on your motor mounts, seals, and u-joints. Will it allow you to save money for an SYE? Sure thing. I never had any issues with the said items either for the year I ran mine.

The other good thing is.. Once I got my SYE installed.. All I needed to do was flip my 6 degree shim around and point it upward and it was right on the money.

Installed my JY gas tank skid plate. Took longer than I though, but it is up there and properly torqued.

Also think I found the root of my front end noise. I found a crack in the steering box spacer. I am not going to bother buy an after market one or trying to find a stock on in the JY. I am going to make my own. I have pretty much everything I need here, but I may need to buy some more steel to reinforce the frame while I have the box off.
