Default ax15 swap to automatic

I'm having some transmission issues and was thinking about swapping out the 5sp to a auto. Has anyone tackled this project and if so what do I need to find parts wise? 98 xj sport.

Why would you swap to a slushbox? What issues are you having?

You need the AW4, torque converter, possibly a new transfer case or input gear, fly wheel, shifter, linkage, console plate, PCM/ECU, TCU, and wiring harness.

Auto is the only way to wheel.

Should change right over without too much hassel.

Would be easier to sell yours and buy an auto Cherokee if you really want a slushbox. Probably get money out of the deal too as 5spds generally sell for more.

well the problem is the clutch. Ive installed a rebuilt ax15 and now having a lot of clutch noise squealing when applying pedal. I removed the trans last Friday and found that the clutch throw out bearing was jacked up. So I proceed to warranty replace the clutch kit and reinstalled. No noise till I drove about 30 miles then the same symptoms apply pedal and it squeals not pressed all the way down just about the first 3/4in of travel is when the noise starts..
