I bought this last week, it came with the lift and big tires. Not a bit of rust,( unlike the XJ I had a few years ago), and the 4.0L runs like a top. Rig has 207,000 on it.
Got some death wobble when I took it to a neighboring town. The guy I bought it from said it had a 5 inch RC lift, but it looks like they make 4, 4.5 and 6 inch, so maybe it has a 4.5".
Most of the rubber bushings in the front end are squeezed halfway out and torn. I plan to replace those, but it might be easier to just buy the death wobble kit from kevin's offroad than mess with replacing things piece by piece.
Oil was dirty and there was a short STP filter. I put in Rotella T6 10w40 ( I live in Arizona) and the longer NAPA Gold 1542 filter (same as a Wix 51542).
I figured if the oil was dirty the rest of the fluids would be too, but the TC, trans, and both axles were full and had clean fluid.
Engine bay is real clean and there are minimal leaks around the oil and trans pan and the transfer case.
Tires are a bit too big for my tastes, and there is some rubbing as fenders were not cut. The tires (33 x 12.50) are getting low on tread, so first thing I plan to do is work on the death wobble and then new tires.
I'll probably go for 32 x 11 OR 31 X 10.50.
Except for the power door locks and the indicator lights when you are in 4H or 4L, everything else works. Power windows, all the lights, cruise, AC, etc.
I live about 15 miles from Sedona so will eventually take it on the trails there, but yesterday went up a canyon north of Cornville that was pretty challenging in places.
The ZJ did fine, later this year I'll get rock sliders and new bumpers.
