motor swap from the v8 to and i6 2004-2000 grande Cherokee
Hey there new to the forum. I bought a 2000 Jeep grande Cherokee Laredo last summer for bush waching fell in love With the places it will take me but
now I’m having drive train issues ( it needs a t-case rear diff seals front diff plus I’d like to lift it) just found an 04 with the V8 in it apparently the motor is shot.. I want the 4L anyway was wondering if anyone on here has done the swap what to look for what am I in for in regards to wiring and programming ect also is there different transmissions in these years

You said you want a 4.0, which you already have. Just needs a transfer case and diff seals. 2004 needs an engine. Replace the transfer case and diff seals on the 2000. I wouldnt even bother with the 2004. Seems unnecessary to me.
