Keep PO’s K&N Filter

My 5.9 ZJ had a K&N filter upgrade on it when I bought it. Would kinda like to make my Niner as stock as possible, so thinking of going back to stock airbox & paper filter. Any reason I shouldn’t?

"upgrade" ? better check that one. Try and find a single legitimate test that shows one filters better than a OEM paper one.

Hence my decision to remove it. “upgrade” is just what people call it, dude.

Roger that, but when a dude downgrades filtering capability, it aint no upgrade. Ive fubar'ed a few engines with those POS'es.

Why not go back to the factory air box, and then an upgraded, washable filter for the stock air box? That's what I have on my Niner.
I'm not recommending any particular brands, because I don't have any experience outside of this filter.....but it's the big name in filters. Direct fit.
