Jeep Cherokee XJ Overlanding Kit $2995.00 OBO
This bolt-on Overlanding kit will fit any XJ with the same style factory rails as the1999 has. It’s simple to install/remove and requires no drilling.
Included in the Kit:
1.The Roof Rack is made of steel tubing by Kevin’s Offroad (KOR). It rests on, and uses 6 clamps, to bolt securely to the vehicle’s stock roof rails.
2.The ARB awning is 7 ft wide and extends out 8 ft. On both sides of the KOR roof rack are two ARB awning mounts, which allows the awning to be mounted on either side. A flat bar of aluminum goes on the opposite side of the awning to facilitate the Roofnest ladder mounting and locks it to the vehicle when deployed.
3.The RTT is a Roofnest Sparrow model, which is one of the lightest weight hard shell RTTs on the market at just over 100 lbs. It’s in good condition and comes with the Roofnest cold weather insert (a $300 option). Roofnest ladder hooked into aluminum bar, instead of the nest. It's more secure and lockable. The Sparrow is designed to sleep two people and has proven very comfortable in all four seasons. The Roofnest bolts on using bolts that thread the floor of the Nest from inside into nut strips wielded on the roof rack. By keeping the distance between the Roofnest and the XJ to a minimum, wind buffeting at Interstate speeds is minimized.
The XJ’s fuel mileage, tracked by GPS over thousands of miles, remained the same before and after this kit was mounted.
