Bought 2004 Gr Cherokee Overland w/4.7 running rough
I'm really enjoying this Jeep, but it's running rough at idle and sitting at traffic lights. I have tried fuel injector cleaner in my gas and new plugs. So far I haven't any luck. My gas milage is poor, I can watch the gauge move while driving. I also changed the air filter. Can anyone offer something else to try next?
I'm new to the Forum, Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

There is no same problem at 4.0L http://www.car-or-car.com/JEEP/JEEP_..._2004_1_1.html But, I had it at SUZUKI. The problem was at electrical wires. One was broken, and plug did not get electricity.

my buddie has the same jeep o4 g/c with around 115k.. he had the same problem and actually his throttle would stick and redline somtimes when he would put the jeep in park.. but anyway your problem is most likely a dirty throttle body.. Eisy fix if you want to do it yourself, on a 4.0 anyway i dont know about the 4.7... you probally have a bunch of build up and gunk in your t.p.s and your I.A.C. if you want a shop to do it your looking at around $30-80, If this is your problem.. I doubt its anything else..
