The brace is now hanging to dry from the paint.
So I went ahead and painted a couple of other pieces from the engine compartment while I had the can in my hand. I think it's the bracket that holds the ICM, the charcoal canister and the 4 relays.
Also installed the new booster/master cylinder combo, shoved the clutch master in, along with the pedal box & loosely put the hardware together.
I had to make a new firewall gasket for the clutch master since the old one was torn on the donor jeep. I used a rubber sheet.
I also need to purchase 3 new 7/16-14 steering bolts on account of thicker steering box spacer, before I can lock the steering box in.

The RE track bar bracket arrived. Test fit the brace and the holes are slightly off. Nothing the die grinder can't do.
And now the Boostwerks brace is installed
Now I think it would be kinda safe to say that the entire front section is ironclad & reinforced.
Of course the bumper would help with stiffening it up too. That ll wait until after the motor get shoved in.
Hmm what's next?

Put the dana 44 under the nose to position it as close as I can so I can measure for the lengths of the track bar and the upper link.
And I still need to figure out how to weld the sway bar mounts on it... because the pics from the manufacturer shows it really high and I don't like it.
Then basically all the welding would be done on this axle and it can be painted...
Oh yes. I gotta decide where to weld on the steering stabilizer mount on.

I was gonna buy a ZJ V8 fan clutch but when I was browsing around my attic. I found a mechanical fan with new fan clutch attached to it. (I pulled it from the red MJ a while back). Perfect. I ll just use that then.

Looks like I ll need approximately 24-27" for the track bar and about 48-50" for the upper arm.
Only have 2 lengths of 56" from ruffstuff. Damn it. I gotta source some more tubing.
Anybody here got some laying around that I could buy? Condition doesn't matter

Also what do y'all recommend if the lower arms has joints on one end and bushings on other end... the upper arm should be the same or have two joints on both side?
Same as track bar?

The split loom arrived so I went ahead and took the old one off the harness. What I saw was bunch of AMC's ingenuity; bunch of exposed wires that was crimped and covered with duct tape. Ugh
So I soldered every one of them & covered with appropriate electrical tape. Then put the new loom on. I still gotta buy more in different sizes to finish the rest of the harness.
Also added 4 foot length of washer fluid hose to the mix because the washer tank is now inside the fender and the connection is at the bottom of the fender. I figure I ll just tee it in with the original hose. Unless it's crumbling then I might as well as run new hose to the wipers. I also need to add a length of 2 wire to extend the 12v to the pump at bottom.
Also installed them
Slowly getting back together. That's for sure.

The first time I started going through my FSJ Wagoneer's wires I freaked when I saw this. I was kinda "WTF did the PO do?
Then I come to find out AMC was notorious for ding this.
