Yeah I didn't have a spare new style cover. Since I shipped it over to ya...
So I figure I will route the belt and see where I need to cut it off.

Assembled the leaf springs together and installed on the MJ along with the tires.

On the left, is the fresh rebuilt packs, & the center one is the MJ main leaf, Durango main leaf along with 2nd & 3rd Durango leafs, that I build earlier in this build thread. The one on the right is the full Dodge Dakota leafs.
With this in mind,

Looks like I'm at 3-3/4" of lift in the rear... distance from the uniframe to the top of the axle is 9-3/4"

When all that is done.
I had to enlist the neighbor's help to push the ZJ out to the end of driveway so we can push and maneuver the MJ in a K-turn to position it where the ZJ was at... so that makes it more easier for me to shoehorn the drivetrain in plus the front axle swap, etc. then pushed the ZJ back where the MJ was been.

Also made some progress on painting..

I'm thinking tonight I ll start on taking the steering column, the gauge cluster, brake pedal box, and steering box out.
So I have more room to work on the front stiffeners, install the 129k mike steering box I harvested from the other MJ, and install the DIYA Boostwerks steering brace along with a heavy duty steering box spacer.
THEN reinstall the 5speed steering column & 3 pedal box and the new gauge cluster. (Gotta reset the mileage on that one too).
Then I ll be able to swap the front axle.

Today. Cleaned up the exhaust manifold and the oil pan & gave them the appropriate coats of paint.
Right now I'm trying to clean up the AC bracket, so I can hit it with a coat of Cummins Beige too.
What I need to buy is the V8 ZJ fan clutch, harmonic balancer pulley, and the down pipe without the crush.
I prob would use one of my 62mm throttle bodies as well.

Today the steering column, steering box, brake pedal assembly, sway bar, and the instrument cluster were removed along with the crumbling speedometer cable, renix throttle cable, and the automatic trans shift cable.
Also disconnected the shock tops.
Now I gotta figure out how to move the brake switch over to the 3 pedal box.

Comparison of boosters

Managed to get the steering box out in one piece without breaking anything. Whoohoo

So I put the renix brake assembly and the 94 2 pedal box on the bench
The stamped sheet metal look identical if you take the pedals and wiring away.
Now what's the white switch on the renix brake for?
The 94 brake switch is 6 wires while the renix is 2 wide. Any reason for that? Or is that clutch switch?
I saw somebody saying you can cut the renix brake switch connector in half and use that. But I don't see how that ll work if the newer one is a 6 wire? Unless I'm wrong?
