Default Newbie question.

Hi everyone! I have a 86 MJ and the previous owner swapped out the 2 piece front axle shaft for the one piece XJ shaft it works and doesn't leak but my question is how do I get the 4wd light to work since the factory system was disconnected. Thank you.

Forget about it and use the lever position as a guide.

We did it for years, with multiple levers that had black ***** with white lettering on them. Not even an indicator like the Jeeps have. Maybe a metal plate in small print on the dash....

Somehow, we survived...........
