When I back out of my driveway, with my foot on the brake pedal of course, it feels like the trans is slipping just a tiny bit. It oscillates, I guess you could say. Also, at stop signs it takes a second to fully engage when I accelerate from the stop. Kind of "kicks in". But again, its very faint. Should I go to a dealer and get robbed, or is there something I'm overlooking, like low fluid??? No, I haven't checked it lately. 2016 Cherokee 3.2L. Only 40k on the Odometer, is it time for a fluid change and filter already? Any productive input would be awesome.

I don't think you can readily check the fluid in the transmission, there is no dipstick like years ago. I have also noticed that there may be a second delay when accelerating from a complete stop, like it is designed that way. Next time you have it in for service, just have them "check all the fluids" and see what they say.
