Passenger front noise at lower speed
My sister asked me if I would take her 2014 Cherokee for a driver and see if i could figure out the noise shes hearing. So I drive it, and it sort of sounds like a wheel bearing noise from the passenger side front area. But the noise doesn't seem to change on or off acceleration or, on or off braking. Also doesnt seem to change if your swerve the jeep side to side driving down the road. Also it seems to make the noise usually when its colder out. She said she doesnt hear it in the summer. I'm not to firmilar with these jeeps, is this a common problem? Or has someone had this issue? Just trying to see what y'all say before she takes it to a mechanic, and pays for something we probably could have fixed ourselves. Any imput is appricated.
Scroll down a couple of threads for a discussion about the drive shaft carrier bearings. It could also be the front passenger axle which I think has a carrier bearing as well (I'd have to look again).
