Can anyone give me an idea where/what the noise is coming from that I’m hearing in my 14’ Cherokee latitude. It goes away once driving 60mph for a couple miles but as soon as it drops down to 54mph the noise comes back. I have a video if I can somehow send it to someone who can help me out. Thank you.

The 2014 had issues with the front driveshaft carrier bearing rusting out. When this happens, the bearing noise is noticeable at slower speeds when the rear driveshaft is normally engaged or at high speeds if you engaged 4wd by selecting the snow or sport settings. I confirmed mine was bad by pulling the 4wd fuse which prevents it from engaging the rear driveshaft at all. You'll get a 4wd unavailable warning if you pull the fuse, but it goes away once you reinstall the fuse.
Chrysler has apparently been generous covering this even after the warranty expires, but they wouldn't cover it for me as I wasn't the original owner. I couldn't buy just the bearing and the whole shaft had to be replaced as a unit. Even with the dealer selling me the driveshaft at cost, it was $400 for the shaft and $100 labor.

Hi - Can you tell me which fuse it is? I have had a high pitched sound on my 2014 - but only when the temp is under 35F ish. But as I drive faster, it goes away...sounds like it is a similar if not the same problem. Thanks!
Fuse F10 in the fuse box next to the battery. The owners manual says it's for the "Power TakeOffUnit (PTU)", so this disables the clutch that engages the drive shaft.
