Sounds technical but this isn’t really a technical question. My dealer said he can download the original factory nav system in my U Connect even though it did not come with it.
He claims it will be the same as if it came from the factory that way..
i can’t find any info on this...anyone done this before? Nowhere is this listed as a viable option...

I did this for my 2015 Cherokee. It works fine. Expensive though. Now I am trying to find a way to update the maps. Dealer says I have to buy a new system to update the maps!

The NAV system is provided by "HERE". If you have either of these, Uconnect® 8.4A (RA3) or 8.4AN (RA4),
and the newest Uconnect software update Software level of17.11.07, you can activate your NAV!
Of course it is almost $600 from the dealer!
If you contact "Here" like I did they will email you when they have a special sale.
They had one last Fall and one this Spring. You can save $150 bucks!
The dealer just goes through them when you buy it. It is just a "code" they send you that
turns the NAV on, it is already installed.
P.S. There are other cheapers ways too...
*Sorry Tony, I don't know if this applies to "XJ,s",
thought you had a Cherokee!
