Good day
I have taken my actuator off from the driver side and confirmed it works. My engine light is on. I took the cables off the battery to see if it would reset after i took the actuator off. However the engine light remains on. I think i need to access the actuator cable fully. Anyone know how I can do that?
I tried to find a manual with the cable diagram and i cant find one. The passenger side works woth both the original and the one from. The driver side. Thinking I need to replace the driver side actuator cable.
TIA

I Googled '2014 Cherokee North' and it showed me the KL Cherokee. Your vehicle info says "XJ". Like said, the XJ ended in 2001.
As for the blend door issue, i have no idea. You said the CEL is on. Post the code. It could be for something not associated with the issue you are having. But could be as it seems EVERYTHING is wired to the PCM in some way on newer vehicles, but its always good to know the code. Could be a sensor, an actuator, or the wiring. Or something PCM related. The more we know, the better.

Moved to KL Cherokee tech for now.

If the blend door actuator is replaced (it's a cheap part, but a lot of labor), I've been told it has to be "synchronized" with the rest of the HVAC system. By disconnecting it, you probably triggered a code, although it shouldn't illuminate the 'Check Engine' light. My '14 Grand Cherokee has an issue with the blend door actuator, and while no lights are illuminated on the dash, the Jeep dealer was able to tell that it was throwing an HVAC code.
BTW your Jeep has a 3.2L V6 engine, and is the only Chrysler product to use that engine.
