And so it begins...
Well I did it now! I bought this '99 XJ last night and can't wait to begin doing stuff to it!!
The good:
3" lift, shocks and 31's
bar pin eliminators
extended brake lines
everything works
very minor oil leakage-more like seepage
drives well
it has a heavy duty clamp to the drip rail roof rack
has a decent stereo
it has a K&N filter
fullsize spare with matching rim
The bad:
200k miles!!
no back seat
needs a turn signal multifunction switch
needs a t-case drop kit
headliner droops around your head while driving
The fun:
I found a complete back seat for $40 already (two fronts included)
I get to paint some stuff
I get to use a Texas flag for my headliner
I get to use my stereo amps that have been sitting around along with my sub
I have a set of lights to install for the rear
I GET TO DRIVE AN XJ AGAIN!!!

Thanks guys! Yeah, the only reason I bought it with that kind of mileage is because it's been maintained very well and I couldn't find any evidence of abuse or just ANYTHING really that made the alarm bells go off. Not that I'm an expert but I had a p.o.s. Cherokee in the past and have looked at a ton of them before buying this one.

I guess I might need more pics! In the last few days I put a Texas flag in place of the headliner, replaced the back seat, added a CB radio above the rear view mirror, did a small TC drop, tightened various loose bolts to eliminate rattles and squeaks, cleaned up the angle iron front bumper for paint, and I think something else now that I don't remember!
It has a good head unit so I'm going to install my amps this week and hopefully find a good option for a sub-I don't want a box sitting in the way. I also need to get a better CB antenna and I'll fab a mount for it. I also have some lights I'd like to put in back for better backup illumination.. All fun stuff!
