How she sits today!

This is the tale of my jeep from the beginning of time...

I bought my 99' Cherokee Sport for $2,800 bucks from one of my friends. He had put a lot of time and hard work into the jeep but decided it was time to let go of it.... Long story short, this is the 2nd time he had sold that jeep xD

The jeep came with another motor which was out of a 97' Cherokee of some type... The only reason I had figured that out was because of the casting marks on the block.

Here is a pic of the day I bought her

First Photobomb... Dat moment.

I did own that Explorer next to the jeep, but I was ready to upgrade... I sold the explorer to my Grandpa knowing he would sell it back to me when the time was right That thing was my baby! DONT HATE!

So about my jeep.... I knew that the motor that was currently in the jeep was ready to go any time... A rockin' and a Knockin'

So it begins...

To be continued,
-Priz

Woo hoo! We went and got the 2nd engine! To do so, I had to rebuild our trailer... It turned out pretty sick!

Fresh trailer. Fresh Shop.

Me. Probably doing nothing productive.

Hooked up. Ready to move!

ITS IN MOTION!

This was my strength test. EH.... It should hold a motor?

Pulled the old motor out and pulled off all the useful components.

While the motor was out I decided to clean out the bay real good and prep for paint:

Then I painted it with Rustoleum Semi-Gloss Black rattlecan paint... I did use a handle for the cans, and it made things so much easier!!!!!!

Next I took my GOOD motor, got all the crud buffed off, wire brushed it real good and started painting!!!

Then I started putting some of the good components back on to the block:

Shortly after we got everything put on to the new motor and we were ready to rock and roll... So i got it all hooked up to the tranny:

And finally got it put into the vehicular!!!! What a relief that was!

And then in the mean time... I had something special up my sleeve that was Hydrodipped by a local guy named Jesse What do you think???!!!

Wow that's beautiful. What does it sit on 5.5" on 35s? Long arms should be the next "big" purchase.

You know, the previous guy said he cut fenders and got the lift on it... I still have to check the model numbers on the lift because I think he did s10 leaf springs in the rear and then bought off brand shocks and springs. I know he re did the whole front suspension through iron rock offroad and upgraded the brake rotors with black magic brakes. And yes, the tires are 35x12.5x15 inch general grabbers and they're on cragar soft 8's ☺

I'm actually a lot farther along then I've posted so far, but I actually get my new front bumper in next week! Pics to come!!!

What are the benefits of upgrading to long arms?

Ride and flex. You can't flex as much on short arms than you can long arms.

Love the paint scheme you've got going on the exterior...and you've definitely been putting a lot into this jeep since you've had it. The new engine/bay look great! I'll stay tuned.
