You running an electric fuel pump? This is a total stab in the dark because I don't know these set ups..

...but an e-pump can provide way, way, WAY more pressure than a carburetor needs, or can handle. If your fuel pressure regulator is not adjusted right or something, then the carb is getting too much fuel. If you don't HAVE a fuel pressure regulator, then there's definitely a problem.

Carburetors only need about 5-6 PSI (rough guess) to work.

I just had to replace the junky Rochester on my jeep. Swapped it with an EMPI 38E carb.

I used to have a problem with the jeep being stuck in 4x4, is for me, is better than being stuck in 2x4.

Got the all the engine stuff working good today, but went to the lake this afternoon (which it been raining for awhile), and right as I jump out into a field of slick mud...I realize my 4x4 isn't working. Thankfully and luckily, I made it outta there (there was a new f-250 stuck not 250 ft from me).

Now I gotta go back to the drawing board on the 4x4 system. I have the NP292 in it right now, but low range is shot. Was thinking about swapping to a 242 or something...anyone have any suggestions???
