Hello All,
I'm a newbie to the forum and a newbie Jeep XJ owner. I decided that I need to learn how to work on this myself instead of waiting for it to be done. Didn't want to hold my breath because blue isn't my color...lol.
My question: (Jeep is an AX15 4.0L 6Cyl 5-speed 1990 XJ). MC fluid was low - not completely empty) but low - I added fluid. Drove it about 25 miles then parked it. Fluid had overflowed from MC. **I know I need to bleed internal slave because of clutch issues (just had clutch, pressure plate, slave and MC etc., replaced and flywheel resurfaced) in April clutch was fantastic until it broke in. Now though, as of 3 weeks ago from today the clutch is hard to shift into gear from a complete stop and while driving....finding myself having to doubleclutch. Plus (dis) engagement point of clutch pedal is really close to floorboard.**
Did the fluid, after being low then overflowed, bypass an airbubble perhaps?
Also, bleeder screw on slave is rounded and I cannot get it to budge at all. I've tried everything from a flare wrench to a bolt extractor wrench and still nothing. Even have tried removing the fitting the screw goes into to no avail.
Sorry so long winded just exasperated and out of ideas that will actually work.

Hi LoveMy90, welcome! I recently went thru this same issue with a pickup truck of mine... I fixed the issue, with a handheld vacuum pump, actually had a cap that fit my MC and was able to pull air up thru the system and remove the remaining air instead of trying to push out and down from the bleeder... Hope it helps you out
