Default new to jeeps

hi there, im new to Jeeps. been wheeling for about 5 years tho. dad is a Toyota master mechanic and has been for 38 years. before i always had yotas. i have been without a rig for a year now, so i wanted to build somthing, my buddy told me to give a cherokee a shot.. so here i am. 1988 jeep cherokee pioneer.

XJ over yota any day man.
Rocks...south eastern terrain.

Mine was an 84 22r weber carb setup, 5" trail gear with bilstein 5150s, marlin twin sticks, marlin doubler, marlin rear 4:1 case, Detroit front locker, manual cable locker, 35" km2s, warn 9500, full under belly skid, warn locking hubs...
Bad rig for sure..but I'll still take an xj

why an xj over that? that was alot like my white 79. marlin twin sticks, 529 gears, 22r weber with race cam. k&n intake. front axle moved 4 inch forward for approach angle. chevy rear spring bastard pack. rear springs up front. TG shackels. 35/15.5/15 swampers.. alot more i forget..lol
