New to the Jeep life
Hello all, Daniel is my name. I have never owned a Jeep before, and I am picking up a 99 Sport this weekend. It needs a lot of work, but for the price I couldn't pass.
I'll be doing some searching on here to answer a few questions I have, and maybe start a thread or two for some help. Look forward to using all the knowledge on this forum to build a clean, and usable daily XJ with outstanding offroad capabilities.
Outside of all the maintenance and service needed, the plan is:
30x9.50 BFG AT K02
15X8 4.5"BS
2" OME rear leafs, and 2" front coils (spacers to even the height)
And a few other odds and ends like frame stiffeners, bar pin eliminators, better shocks, shackle relocators, etc.

Thanks for the welcome. My search for an XJ continues, as the one I had agreed on buying was sold from underneath me.

Looking and probably buying a 2000 Sport next week. Freshly rebuilt engine: 96 head, lifter, main & rod bearings, pistons, polished crank. Lift (owner doesn't know how much), and 16" wheels with 31's. No rust that I have seen so far, upgraded headlights, and clean interior. My old boss bought it with the blown motor as is, did the repairs, so I know it is good to go.
