Default New guy from NY

Hey everyone, my name is John and I am from Long Island NY. Just picked up this 96 cherokee. Needs a little bit of work, but its a great base to start with. I have been looking for a 4WD truck, and also with something with 4 doors to haul my dog around with. heres a couple pics...its got 32s on it now with a 2/3'' lift. The tires rub, do you guys think I should lift it more, or do some fender trimming?

Welcome to the Forum! I'm actually from Upstate New York. As for your rubber, my answer would be to lift it! do like a 4.5" or 6.5" lift, depending on your budget. Either way, do a Long Arm kit and then those 32s will fit very nicely, and you could even go to a 33 if you did the 6.5".

just my $.02

Welcome to CF John. It looks good, but I'd go to 31"s rather than do any trimming. JMO

thanks for the welcome everyone! The tires rub only when turning, but they rub simply when turning into a parking spot. The tires have great tread left on them, however they are showing signs of dry rot. I was thinking of replacing them with 31's. Im going to be driving this thing everyday, so I want to have a comfortable ride.

The brakes are super soft on it as well, so i have to figure out what that problem could be. I dont see any leaks on any of the brake lines

hope everyone had a nice holiday! After doing a little further inspection of the tires, they have plenty of tread left but they are badly dry rotted. I dont want to risk having them blow out on me, so I need new tires. I know of a couple good places online to buy tires, but does anybody have a good place to buy tires with working on a budget?

was able to get 5 practically brand new 31x10.5x15 tires and only spent $225! Now I just have to get them mounted and balanced. This weekend I am going to do some fender trimming
