Default New Guy from Jersey exit 135

Just bought an 00 with 159K supposedly rebuilt 15K ago (is that like ran when parked?) Picking it up tomorrow.

I plan on keeping it mostly stock as it will be a daily driver for now but will probably get front and rear bumpers with hitch/tow/guard for when I drive and park in NYC and try some noobie wheeling.

I used to get off at Exit 135 in Westfield to play Table Tennis. It was a long drive from South Jersey just for TT but I love that game! Welcome to CF.

Yup - I haven't been there in years, but yes. NJ Table Tennis Club lives there. Fun times.

Yeah thats what I was thinking but the PO claims he had the crank ground and polished and new bearings, new rings and cam and the head rebuilt. Said it had a bad valve and he got into the might as well syndrome. I can tell there is a new exhaust manifold gasket and the engine bay was really clean (the rest of the jeep wasn't) but havent really checked for signs of removal yet so we'll see. Even if it didnt have a rebuild, for $2700 its still a good deal.

Only a couple of minor things which I expected base on research.

Need to find a vacuum leak for the defroster only mode syndrome and the blend door does not work (heat only) so I found the threads to check out the motor and door issues as well.

Has a headliner sag which is easy to fix I've done it before.

The gas gauge doesn't work so I am going to let my mechanic test the sender output while up on a lift to get the oil changed. I am too old to lay on my back in the cold on the driveway as my Model A gets the garage. If the sender is bad then I will put that on the list of things to get replaced down the road. No hurry for now as the trip indicator works so I will go by mileage.
