Found the Jeep I want, they are asking 1000 more than KBB lists it.
Now comes the haggle.
2001 Cherokee Sport 4 dr, Automatic, 2x4, dark blue, 139k mi. They want 5977. Kbb lists it around 4200. It looks nice, just has the typical faded bumper caps.
Show up with 3500 cash and test drive it. Offer them 3K and only go up to 3.5k if they aren't budging. Not worth that kind of money, especially for a 2 wheel drive. Hell, I'd offer them 2500 for the damn thing. Good luck.

I know I will probably be laughed off here, but I was attracted to this one because it was non 2x4. I considered 4x4 but I found this one that was close and when my dad had his, I used the 4x4 a few times and was over it. I need a family hauler and a dog hauler and won't do a minivan. So 2x4 it is.
This one is at a small time dealership that keeps about 25 cars. I have a 2005 Cadillac CTS with 139k miles, selling it to get $ to pay for this.
Yeah this XJ has been for sale for 135 days and the guy won't budge. I told him KBB listed it at 4200, cargurus listed it at 4500 and all he keeps saying is, it's really clean. So he will continue to have that on his lot until some sucker pays almost 6k for it.
I did however find a more appropriately priced one, but I looked up the dealer and the guy has like 40 really bad reviews. Like using alias, ripping people off, selling damaged cars etc.
So the hunt continues. Meanwhile I can find 200 Jeeps in Washington state but no way to get out there or get it to me. Boo
