Been lurking for a while, but now it's official. I just made my first Jeep purchase, a black, 100% stock, 1999 XJ Sport 4x4, with 110,000 miles. It has power everything, but no cruise control. So cruise is the first thing on my upgrade list. Undercarriage is damn near rust free, but I can see the muffler will need replacing soon. The to-do list begins...
Seconds after purchasing.
Checking out the undercarriage before I bought it.
Nice, not too bad. From my findings over the last 5 years XJs have actually gone up in price. I picked up a nice clean 3" lifted black 98 back in 2011 for 2k...same jeep now would sell for 5k easily.
May just be my area, but folks are asking and getting 6k+ for fairly clean XJs with cheap lifts.

I looked at about 15 different 1999 XJ's over the past 3 months and they were all around $5K with 100k+ miles. Most were in terrible shape. I was about to bid on one of those pristine looking ones from eBay for like $7k, but I lucked out when I found this one.
