Default Hi from England

My name is Barry & I live in England. Got the chance of buying a 1997 Cherokee with the 2,5litre turbo diesel engine. Maybe go to see it on Friday morning. Any things to look out for when viewing this car eg. known mechanical issues or areas susceptible to rust etc.. please?
The car has covered 94,000mls

Hi Barry I originate from Ashby-de-la-zouch, I have that year and td.
Bought mine from sheffield, head gasket had already been sorted,(bear in mind).
Done the basics, new battery, radiator, alternator, wheels tyres and lift.
Love it and can't wait for snow.
Welcome to this great site.

Many thanks for the welcomes.

"Head gasket had already been sorted..."?
I take it you are advising me that this has been an issue with the 2.5litre diesel engine?
The one I am considering is a standard car without any suspension modifications. I will put a dealer photo up of it

Welcome Barry, far as I know the 2.5 is a strong runner, but I have heard of a few that had headgasket issues
