Proud English 1995 Jeep (XJ) Cherokee Ltd owner.
My name is Paul, I am from Bolton in the NW England. I had a Mitsubishi Pajero which I crashed and wrote off, a nice car wagon but slow. I had for a while a Saab 9-5, very fast but not big enough.
Then one day I came across a 1995 Jeep Cherokee Limited with a 4.0litre, 6 cylinder engine at a very reasonable price, (cheap). Service history, one owner from new, leather seats, wood veneer panelling, everything electric and had covered only 40,182 miles. That is nothing for a car like this. The first year of its life in England, it travelled 198 miles. One year it travelled just 12 miles to the M.O.T. station and back for roadworthiness certificate. It still has all the orginal stickers and labels in the engine compartment, even the export sticker from the USA.
I am very pleased, well more than pleased, the car, wagon, 4x4 or whatever you like to call it is "The Dogs Bollocks". I love it. I get a reasonable return on fuel consumption.
This is the second best thing to come out of the USA. The first? The Boeing B29 Superfortress "Enola Gay" and we know what she did. The same the Jeep does to the Pajero now.
Paul.

91 limited owner, Hello from England.
Boxcar, was a pun on the pilots name of the B29 that dropped the 2nd A Bomb "Fat Man" on Nagasaki. His name was Fred Bock. The proper name of the B29 was "Bockscar", not Boxcar. The aircraft is now on permanent display at The National Museum of the USAF, Dayton, Ohio. The original aircraft that was to be used was named "The Great Artiste".
