Default Here from Wilmington VT

I'm in the process of buying a 1989 Cherokee 4.0 automatic. It has a long arm kit on it, and I'm putting winch bumpers, etc on it as soon as I get it.
It's on 35" tires (which need replacing of course), and we plan on using it to explore the dirt roads which abound in the area.
I'm a fairly experienced 'wheeler, I really believe in tread lightly, and I won't be pushing the truck too hard.
What should I know about this setup?
I'm also going to build a 4.56 Dana 44 and a matching Chrysler 8.25" rear with selectable lockers over the fall for it.

Welcome to the forum! VT isn't too far out of the way from Mass. Used to travel up there quite a bit.

We moved up last October, and there are a TON of dirt roads. I have years of exploring to do. There used to be a, trail system called crazy eights, but that was a long time ago and it was mostly rock crawling, which I'm not much for

I might have to check that out. My jeeps not really ready for rock crawling stuff though.

I much prefer trail running. It's a lot faster and you break a lot less.

Yeah, I mean it's cool and all, but I can't afford that type of damage right now.

I'm really looking forward to being able to throw a truck around in the dirt again
