Default Hello from the land of beer and cheese!

Hello everyone,

I'm Mike and I'm from the beer cheese triangle of Wisconsin. Meaning I live in the Green Bay Manitowoc Appleton area. (yes that is a large area but those places are all very close to my general area)

I currently own a 96 xj 4door. I've played with the idea of selling it and getting a yj however I have finally said the hell with it and build the xj and turn it into the zombie killing monster I dream about.

Since I am new to both this forum and the world of building badass Jeeps I will keep my research on high priority and questions on low priority.

now that I have said that, for my first question, when building a xj on a budget how do I know when and where I should be spending money and when and where I should be finding the boneyard gems that will help complete my build?

Thanks in advance and I hope to build both a great Jeep and new friends to wheel with!

You'll know when the time comes as you go! Once you plan out your project and what you want to do, and/or/if/when stuff breaks you'll know what you need! Look for local u-pull-it type yards around your area.

I'm new to building Jeeps also and mine isn't built yet but I have most of my items ready to go Welcome, this site will tell you all you need to know!
