Hello from FL ~
Hello from Florida!
I have a 1998 Jeep Cherokee. It is my first car. It was my father's cousin's husband's car. My uncle bought it fixed it up a little and offered it to me since I had just gotten my permit. I didn't really like driving so it sat for a while. But now I love it.
It is pretty much stock. Last monday my dad and I went out to the local junkyards looking for parts. We did not find everything on our list but we found some small pieces. Got a sunburn out of it too.
I currently don't have any pictures. It is dark green with faded green trim and black bumpers. It has grey interior.
About me. Well I am not very knowledgeable about automobiles but, I am not completely ignorant. I am currently in my final year in my degree. I like art, nature, computers, video games, anime, manga, animals, tv, and lots of other stuff.
My dad and I will probably have lots of questions. He knows how to work on cars however, he does not know much about Jeeps.
We just found out today that we'll need to replace the radiator, hopefully next weekend. We have talked about future repairs/replacements, but those will have to wait for a while at least till summer.

Well, I don't have too many off the top of my head.
I was wondering while we are replacing the radiator if it would be a good time to replace/repair/paint the plastic grill and trim around the headlights. Looking at it there appears to be some cracks in the plastic. Originally the idea was at some point just spray painting it. But with the cracks I was just think about ordering new pieces and just installing them while the front is torn apart for the radiator.
We also need to replace the exhaust. My dad wants to replace the catalytic converter and muffler all at one time. Any advice or part recommendations would be awesome.
Also I believe the seal on the rear differential needs to be replaced. I heard my dad mumbling about figuring out the bolt pattern. I don't think there are many variations on bolt patterns. Or is there?
